The Volkswagen Touareg will go down as one of the biggest surprises of the year, as the large-SUV segment is already dominated by the BMW X5 and Volvo XC90. Volkswagen isn't traditionally seen as a luxury brand but at RM475k, the Touareg goes head-to-head with the German juggernaut and the Swedish icon.
With a 3.0-litre V6 lump up front, and 8AT and 4Motion in the middle and lots of luxury in between, is the Volkswagen Touareg the old school alternative E-segment SUV buyers have been waiting for?
