Atlantis Rolls to the Launch Pad

Space shuttle Atlantis emerged Thursday, September 4th from the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASAs Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Atlantis began its rollout the launch pad at 9:19 a.m. eastern time.
Riding on the top of a crawler-transporter, Atlantis was carefully moved along the three-and-a-half mile crawlerway to Launch Pad 39A, where workers will spend the next month putting the finishing touches on the launch vehicle before its targeted lift off on October 10th.
