We started to see an influx of these phishing scams with emails claiming to be from Microsoft and asking the receiver to reauthenticate their 2FA/MFA session.
These are phishing emails. We review the most recent one sent to us and show you how to recognize that it is phishing, and what you should or shouldn't do.
1. Never click on QR codes sent unsolicited.
2. Check the sender's email address. Did it come from the correct domain (ie. Microsoft.com)? If not, ignore
3. Never give your 2FA/MFA codes to someone else. NEVER
4. If you must verify through Microsoft navigate manually (without clicking or scanning) to portal.office.com or microsoft.com
