Shearwater - Kick in the Eye - Bauhaus - AV Club Undercover 2016
In 2016, we played Bauhaus's "Kick in the Eye" for the Onion A.V. Club's Undercover series. We had only rehearsed the song a handful of times, and this was the first and only take for the A.V. Club. We had all of our lights from our stage show, including the laser gloves, and we were like - why not use EVERYTHING?
We were initially supposed to be there just in the morning for the one song, but we wound up staying all day and recording all of David Bowie's Lodger. It was Josh's birthday. We drank a lot of seltzer, ate a lot of cupcakes, and played a fair amount of arcade-style basketball. (EL)
