Agrigypsum Screening
In the gypsum industry precision sizing mined gypsum and reducing breakage of fine pebbles can create additional value for the producer as well as provide a premium product to customers. By effectively testing this customer's materials BM&M was able to select a round-hole screen for the oversize material for a fertilizer product and use a much smaller mesh screen size to provide more open area for effective fines removal separation. Finally, by testing and tailoring the speed on the BM&M we can (i) determine the exact speed to insure the residence time remained low to stop breakage of fertilizer spheres, (ii) reduce dust generation, and (iii) fluidize the material to effectively screen the product.
