Hello friends! Just yesterday in the USA there was a resonant incident with the use of weapons, so I did not delay with the new episode.
1). December 5, 2019. Florida, Coral Gables, at 4:15 pm two armed men enter the Regent Jewelers jewelry store on Marian Avenue with the purpose of robbery. The store owner, upon seeing the robbers, presses the panic button, which sends a signal to the rescue service. The store owner turned out to be not a timid person, took out a gun and opened fire on the robbers. The robbers began to shoot back and one of the bullets ricocheted into the head of the store owner. Later they reported that he was alive and in stable condition. One of the bullets hit the wall of the local Coral Gables City Hall, located across the street from the jewelry store. 90 seconds after the panic button was pressed, police officers arrived at the scene. But the robbers did not waste time and, having noticed a UPS delivery truck near the store, stole it with the driver inside at gunpoint. A chase began, which was broadcast live by news agencies. About 40 police cars pursued the robbers' car. During the chase, the suspects shot at the police cars. As a result, at 5:30 p.m., more than 1 hour after the start of the robbery, the truck stopped on Miramar Boulevard near Flamingo Road stuck in traffic.
The chase ended on the highway in the city of Miramar, 25 km from the scene of the robbery. The truck the robbers were driving got stuck in a traffic jam. The police approached the car and a shootout began, during which the police had to take cover behind moving cars on the roadway. During the shooting, the truck driver, who was taken hostage, was killed, as were two robbers and a bystander, the driver of one of the cars that was parked nearby.
One person was taken by helicopter to a local hospital after the shooting. The police were not injured in the incident.
Further investigation of this incident will be conducted by the FBI in addition to the police. Traffic on the highway was blocked several hours later, and it is unclear how much time it will take investigators to complete all the necessary investigative actions.
2). Canada, Oshawa, Ontario, November 29, 2019, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a man is sitting in a parking lot at Harmony Road to the north and Taunton Road to the east when an unknown person approaches him and steals his car. Since the car had a device that tracked its position via satellite, officers quickly received information about the direction the car was traveling. The car was traveling east toward Clarington. A police helicopter was added to the search for the car and found the stolen SUV at a gas station on Hwy 35/115 in Newcastle. The suspect left the gas station and headed north on 4th Street when officers resumed pursuit. Officers then called off the pursuit due to safety concerns. However, the helicopter continued to follow the car and a few minutes later the vehicle lost control while turning and flipped. The suspect got out of the car and tried to run away, but as we all know, few people escaped from the helicopter and K-9 duo. K-9 officers and other units established a perimeter around the suspect and the man was taken into custody. Kyle GREEDER, 33, of Cornish Hall Road in Cobourg, was charged with robbery; fleeing from police; reckless driving, operating a vehicle without a license. He was taken to jail after his arrest. 3). Modesto November 29, 2019, 9 p.m. Motel 6. Officers arrived at the address to detain Raymond Lee Modesto, 54, for whom there was a felony arrest warrant. The suspect, ignoring officers' requests, pulled a gun from under his bed mattress and pointed it at the officers, causing two officers, Jeffrey Brandon and Cameron Irinaga, to open fire. Both officers were unharmed and were placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation. It was later determined that the suspect had pointed a BB gun at the officers.
