About Ghazipur City:

Ghazipur City (GCT) lies in the North Eastern Railway Zone (NER), Gorakhpur under the Varanasi division. The station is directly connected to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Surat, Agra, Bhopal, Jammu, Asansol, Patna Junction, Lucknow, Amritsar, Jabalpur, Guwahati, Kolkata, New Jalpaiguri, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Pathankot, and other major & important cities by routine trains. Ghazipur Railway Station will be strategically more important.

Currently, it has a double line railway route with electrification of the Prayagraj Jn-Varanasi Jn-Ghazipur City-Chhapra Jn Rail Route. Additionally, a new rail line from Mau Junction to Tarighat Station via Ghazipur City Station and a bridge on the Ganga River.

The railway station offers WiFi, rake handling, washing pit, loco maintenance, and other facilities. Ghazipur City is set to become one of the largest railway junctions in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
