Parenthood has not been easy, I was very naive with becoming a parent. I thought that Josie would give birth to a baby and he would be fit and healthy. Not once did it cross my mind that there maybe issues with feeding and health problems. OZ was born 14 days ago, in that period we have only spent 3 nights at home. During those days at home we have been to appointments for feeding. OZ has not even met all of his family yet, during the period in hospital OZ has received light treatment for jaundice, fluids for an underlying UTI which could be the possibility for not feeding. Josie has been nothing but remarkable in caring for OZ, who is not the easiest to feed. We’ve been to several wards within the hospital and have been given advice regarding feeding. The recent urine sample taken at the children assessment unit may hold the answers as to why he is not feeding. All the symptoms OZ has. There is plenty more tests to be taken but we’re in the right place now. Stress and worry levels are through the roof. Thank you to the NHS for their committed efforts and care. Thank you for the kind messages 💙
