Adding workflow approval to package management in SUSE Manager
In this presentation we show how we connected business processes using ITSM tools to manage and coordinate actions in the infrastructure managed by SUSE Manager. We show how to perform package management activities such as installation, removal and upgrading, with jobs scheduled through Jira as the ITSM tool. This work can be extended for any infrastructure management activity such as rebooting, service management, application and service deployment, and much more. This drastically reduces the need for manual intervention without neglecting business processes and workflow approval.
