i watched if beale street could talk a year or so ago and found myself absolutely smitten by it (barry jenkins was in his mf'ing bag with this one). when i heard agape play in the movie, it was a wrap. i've been wanting to edit with this song since. i finished up a project awhile ago with this song but i wasn't really feeling it. maybe i'll polish it up and upload it at a later date, but anyways. i just could never really find anything that really worked with this song, ya feel me. it's suuuuch a good song man, i had to do it justice. but then, the other day it finally clicked, "why not just use the movie the song was made for," and that was that. editing this was honestly so much fun and it was such a good catharsis. well anyways, im done rambling. i hope you all enjoy this or whatever. 😁
