How to change the battery on the photon ROV.
Your Photon comes with a pre-installed battery with the availability to purchase spares. Each battery will last up to 3 hours depending on configuration and can charge from empty to full in 2.5 hours. Spare batteries allow for continuous operation of the ROV without access to topside power. Before removing the battery make sure the unit is powered off. Loosen the thumb screw located at the front of the battery, pull out the quick release pin at the back of the battery, align the replacement battery with the groove on the battery track and slide it into place, tighten the thumb screw at the front of the battery, insert the quick release at the rear of the battery, and you are now ready to complete your mission.
