i remember recording this one at @mehdiahsan studio, he gave me full liberty to play with the track. I honestly thought at first @bilalxmaqsood might not approve of the improvisations as he is known for his Perfectionism, and this song was pretty liberating...
I went up for rehersals in karachi, stayed there for about weeks just watching the whole team working 47/7 hours no shit
The stage literally mesmerised me with such huge screens and such cute and interesting audience i must say. Not to forget about @yasirjaswal dad jokes every now and then which in all honesty kept everyone so full of energy ... so hats off to this dude fosure even though he changed my name thrice but cant blame him, i guess its just that his brain cells are gettin’ old HAHA jk. Besides that, All the musician,as always rocked at what they best at ofc. While i was going through my lyrics, bilal somehow managed to find a corner to reveal one major Fact about this song... i was just about to goto the stage to perform the song for the first time
He said” Aima do you know one thing? My father Anwar Maqsood Saab wrote this track”, it left me in an awe of how versatile a man can be, and obv theres no possible way in hell im messin’ this up LOL !! Bilal smiled And wished me luck with a slight smirk on his face, as if he could see through me that i can pull of this one too.
That particular moment, @bilalxmaqsood boosted my credence as if this song could only be sung by me, and so i did.
