In this video I react to a lot of noise in the Leica community around the new Leica Q3 43mm. And indeed, the Leica Q3 43 has a "filter problem" based on its significantly shorter lens hood which does not leave enough space between the lens tube and the lens hood for standard 49mm filters - in contrast to the well established Leica Q3 28mm where 49mm filters can be screwed-in without any difficulties.
Of course, you can easily use the Q3 43 without a lens hood because there is an additional lens ring in the package that you can screw-in instead of the lens hood. But for me that is not an option.
I will likely shoot the Q3 43 for the time being without any filters at all until I find a smart solution or additional accessories which enable to use a filter, the lens hood and the macro mode together.

If you have this filter, please drop a comment to let us know if it fits under the Q3 43 lens hood and whether the macro mode can be enabled with the filter mounted.
