What's "Hour of Code"?
Hour of Code is an educational campaign for every student to try coding for one hour. It originates in the US and is spreading throughout the world. Over 12 million kids all over the world have done their one hour of coding. Using the online resources available on www.hourofcode.com, everyone can enjoy coding.
CityU Apps Lab and Let's Code (Hong Kong), two of the leading forces in Hong Kong, promote the value of coding education to the public. We are joining hands to bring the Hour of Code to more than 1000 Hong Kong students in December 2014.
We are providing a number of complimentary coding workshops for teachers in the early December 2014. After the workshop, teachers are more readily equipped to conduct their own Hour of Code Workshop at their respective schools in 18-22 December 2014.
