I’m Moving to Vancouver Island & the Future of my Channel
After 5 years of living a mostly nomadic lifestyle, I have decided to move back to Vancouver Island. My various long distance hikes brought me all over the world, from hiking the length of Croatia, to hiking the length of the USA, to hiking the length of New Zealand. Those adventures were incredible and I am beyond grateful for all of them!
Somewhere along the way I deeply started to miss home. And while I have spent a decent amount of time on Vancouver Island over the last 5 years, which you may have noticed through my Vancouver Island Trail series or my Victoria-based series, I haven’t made a home anywhere. For many different reasons, sinking in some roots and reconnecting with my community is exactly what I know I need right now.
I know many of you started watching my videos and have continued watching because you love following me on long distance hiking trails. I know many of you have been here since my FIRST EVER video series when I hiked the Great Divide Trail in 2020! I am so appreciative that you have enjoyed my videos and kept watching over the years. It’s my hope that even though I won’t be on a long distance hike for a while (but I’m sure I will eventually), that you will still enjoy my videos!
Moving forward, I plan to continue making outdoors-related videos, but with a more local focus. As I reconnect with the incredible and diverse Vancouver Island, I want to share the richness of this island with you. I plan to continue hiking, backpacking, and camping. My trips will just be shorter moving forwards. And as winter sets in I plan to take you outdoors into the snowy mountains with me, likely on skis.
