Hiking the length of Vancouver Island (Episode 4)
Hiking 102 km (63 miles) of the Vancouver Island Trail from the Strathcona Dam to the village of Cumberland. We enter the big mountains on the island and I am beyond stoked to be there, film them, and then get to share them with you!
We end up having to wait out a massive rainstorm before pushing higher up onto the alpine ridge. We then enjoy some incredible ridge-walking for multiple days on this section!
The rainstorm and route finding slow us down, leaving us with a massive day to hike into the town of Cumberland on our final day.
