Catfishing with pool noodles
Use thicker noodle and cut in 4 equal sections. Thread tar coated braided cord through center of noodle and tie off. Use enough line to get hook to float 2-3 ft off the bottom so helpful to know the depth of water where you fish. Put bright color duck tape on both sides of noodle with reflective tape in the middle to aid with seeing noodles at night with q-beam light. Use 1 ounce weight tied 1 foot from #6 circle hook or octopus hook tied at the bottom. Put a barrel swivel between the weight and the hook. A big catfish will roll and break the hook free without a swival. Use red hotdogs for bait cut in thirds. Fishing May through August from 5 pm to midnight is usually productive. I do catch fish mid afternoon in May and early June. Take a net as I have caught fish up to 34lbs. Good Luck!
