That said, the issue isn't with AI SEO content, instead, it's with unhelpful content that doesn't satisfy the user's search intent.
First things first: This Google update did NOT focus particularly on AI content, instead, it focused on unhelpful content.
Google does NOT care who/what writes the content as long as it's helpful for the end user.
Whether it's a human or a robot writing it, as long as it satisfies the user's search intent (i.e. answers their question correctly and fast) and it's valuable, there won't ever be any issues.
Your site got clapped not because it has AI content, but because the content isn't good enough.
In fact, you should use AI content if you're not yet.
