How Rome Nearly Fell in 271 AD
Much like Han China Rome also had it's own period of 3 kingdoms. During the crisis of the 3rd century, Rome nearly crumbled. It was thanks only to Emperor Aurelian that the empire managed to survive. Before the rise of Aurelian the Roman empire had for the fist time in it's history collapsed into 3 separate enteties. Usurpes all over the empire claimed to be the legal emperors of Rome. Aurelian would assume power and crush all these claimants and multiple germanic invasions in less than 5 years.
