Complicite's Mnemonic at the National Theatre - review (updated)
Memory, identity, migration. There's much to think about and much great theatre to be experience, says Paul Seven Lewis, in his review of Mnemonic, reimagined 25 years after its original opening. Why is a chair the star of the show? Why is an actor naked for much of the evening? Only creator Simon McBurney and his company know for sure, but Paul offers some ideas, as he describes superb acting from Khalid Abdalla, Richard Katz, Laurenz Laufenberg, Tim McMullan, Kostas Philppoglou, Sarah Slimani and Eileen Walsh, and a stunning set design by Michael Levine.
