Old Hotel Made 50% Taller through Strengthening
We love to travel, don't we ! This Star Hotel in Andheri (Mumbai), is a travelers' favorite. When they needed to upscale and add 2 additional floors, we were happy to strengthen their massive transfer girder (TG), lift beam and columns! We used external post tensioning with 1860MPa tendons and encased the TG in micro-concrete jacketing and strong CFRP wraps. This project has external post-tensioned CFRP laminates as well. Now with more customers in 2 fresh floors, the Hotel is on a happy journey, thanks to Sanrachana !!
