Bonneville Salt Flats
The Bonneville Salt Flats was one of the most surprising stops on my trip. It is located just a mile north of the I-80 freeway just miles into Utah near the Nevada border 120 miles west of Salt Lake City. This is were they do the land speed records on cars. You literally can drive for miles on the packed salt. I heard it is even better after it rains, but it was quite fun to drive fast on just a flat salt lake.
