Linfa, Nangka, Saudel, Molave, and Goni storms continue to destroy Central Vietnam with eternal consequences: landslides, floods, the mountain collapse, famine,…
According to statistics from affected provinces, the last storm alone had inflicted economic damage worth around VND10 trillion ($430.16 million). The loss was nearly 1.5 times higher than 2019’s total natural disaster-induced damage of VND7 trillion ($302.6 million), mainly ascribed to flooding, storms, and landslides.
As of 17 November 2020, the floods has resulted in over 324 fatalities and 66 people missing; 44 out of 324 were from Cambodia and resulted in damages of almost 35.2 trillion VND (US$1.52 billion)
I’m a Quang Tri citizen, the hot-spot of the tragedies (a place full of war scares: Agent Orange poison, hidden bombs, infrastructure destructions, war diseases like Down, Prostate Cancer, Chloracne,…), luckily, my family have a degree of living: from house base to financial status, however, during the flood season, I barely survive from the dire situation with a lot of struggling: physical isolation, lacks nutrition foods and the cold flu,…
Each time I turn on the television or other social media, I constantly witnessed losses from climate change repeatedly: people die, house destructions, diseases expansions,…
Just recover after the nCovid Corona pandemic for a while (I’m a former staff in the isolated area, so there are weeks I can’t meet my family, only masks and protective gears; remarkably, that isolation spot is a school, and that’s not fair!).
Now, this is the “last straw” to reveal the weakness, the darkness perspectives of the society in an under-developing country, noticeably Central VietNam is the most vulnerable surfaces with climate change: storm, sea-level rise, economy isolations,...
I’m lucky enough to be a part of local security forces: militia (Civil Defence) and an unofficial officer of The Reserve Army so that I can witness dark corners of the society: violence, alcohol/drug addiction, theft, harassment, social fraud,…
I’m lucky enough to become a part of the Youth Union activities to see the Government put a lot of effort to improve society, human standards, morality.
So that I can conclude that: poverty is the ultimate reason for crime, ethical issues, lack of civilized awareness.
So that I open this project to call the help from VietNam citizen across global as well as international benefactors join hand to help VietNam in general as well as Central VietNam especially in fighting with: social security degradations, pandemic, climate change, IT technology development lag (4.0 for now, and I can’t see a sign that my hometown will catch up in a timely fashion)
So with the money of that fund, I can do a lot of things bellow:
Convert my old grocery store into a mini-market full of nutritious food at a reasonable price, and no one will be hungry.
Promote coffee and tea visibility: users can access these elegant matters without worry about the budget; stay away from alcohol, drugs. Soon, coffee and tea can lead to the book reading habit, and it will help human a lot.
Partner with local stores about books, pharma, cloth to lower the prices so that everybody can access them easily.
Last but not least, I’m collaborating with 4.0 firms like MISA (mShopkeeper, CukCuk) and SAPO in SMB perspectives to promote IT techs to empower citizen ability in doing business as well as enhance ethical, awareness about a modern era.
There is no happiness when a person struggling a day with a terrible job (that can be done by machine or with the help of 4.0), end up a night with a small amount of money and then drunk a whole night to forget the long-weary- day!
