No 2. Father Sky: According to Mongolian creation stories, Father Sky is the creator of the universe. The Earth (Mother Earth) and Father Sky are often depicted as the parents of all beings. These two forces are seen as complementary, working together to maintain the balance of the cosmos.

The reverence for the blue sky is paramount in Mongolian culture, symbolizing purity, eternity, and the father of all. The traditional Mongolian dwelling, the ger (also known as a yurt), has a circular opening at the top, known as the toono, which is always left open to honor Father Sky. The Eternal Blue Sky (Möngke Tengri) is often personified and is associated with the fate of individuals and nations.

The Great Mongol Empire's founder, Chinggis Khan, is said to have been appointed by Tenger to unite the world under one sky, and his destiny was believed to be ordained by this sky deity. Read more about Genghis Khan below.

About Genghis Khan:
Contrary to popular belief, it's important to understand that Genghis Khan's methods of warfare, while considered brutal, were not unique to his era. Many contemporaneous powers used similar war tactics, and the Mongol Empire's military success can be attributed to their superior organization, strategy, and adaptability rather than sheer brutality alone.

Warfare Norms: During the Middle Ages, siege warfare often involved the sacking of cities, with civilians suffering as a consequence. This was a common practice among all powers, not just the Mongols.

Political Strategy: Some historians argue that the tales of Mongol brutality were exaggerated by their enemies to inspire fear. While not denying the violence that did occur, this perspective suggests that the Mongols were also shrewd political strategists who used their fierce reputation as a tool to encourage surrender and avoid bloodshed.

Restoration and Rebuilding: After conquests, the Mongols often rebuilt cities and restored trade. They were also known to patronize the arts and sciences in the regions they ruled, leading to periods of prosperity and cultural flowering in various parts of their empire.

Cultural Transmission: The Mongol Empire was a catalyst for the transfer of knowledge, technologies, and cultural practices across Eurasia. This included the spread of printing and gunpowder technologies from China to the West, which had profound impacts on the development of modern societies.

Efficient Administration: The Mongols established a bureaucratic system that was effective and relatively meritocratic, ensuring that governance was maintained across vast distances.

Economic Policies: Genghis Khan and his successors implemented policies that promoted trade and protected merchants. The Pax Mongolica (Mongol Peace) allowed trade routes to flourish, reducing the risk of bandit attacks and creating economic stability.

Legal Systems: The Mongol legal system was ahead of its time in many respects, with laws that prohibited theft, adultery, and bearing false witness, and promoting various consumer protections.

Religious Tolerance: Genghis Khan was known for his religious tolerance. His empire was one of the few where Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, and followers of other religions coexisted relatively peacefully.

Meritocracy: He was known for his meritocratic approach, promoting individuals based on their abilities and loyalty rather than their social status or background.

Postal System: He established an empire-wide messenger system with relay stations and mounted couriers, which allowed for the efficient transfer of information and official documents.
