🎹 In this video, I dive into the process of recreating the iconic intro from Elton John’s Funeral for a Friend using the new Korg ARP 2600 plugin. Originally crafted by engineer David Hentschel on the ARP 2500, this 1973 classic has a timeless sound that I’ve aimed to capture with modern tools. Watch as I break down the steps, using five instances of the plugin in Cubase, to get as close as possible to the original synth tones. Plus, I’m offering the recreated sounds as a free download—check the links below! 🎶

Using five instances of the Korg ARP 2600 VST plugin within Cubase and starting with a MIDI file from [https://bitmidi.com/funeral-for-a-fri...], I’ve aimed to stay as true to the original sound as possible. As you’ll hear, the 2600 plugin does an incredible job of capturing the essence of the original.
