Frozen treats you can feed your chickens in the summertime to help cool their body temperatures. Helping chickens avoid heat stress. There are so many treats you could feed your chickens, I just like to keep it simple. Frozen treats like Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries bananas, grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon are all good options for chickens in the summer.
Remember your chickens should be eating 90% complete layer feed and 10% chicken treats to help provide a balanced diet to your birds. Be careful not to overfeed them with treats, this can cause issues with being overweight which can cause a chicken to become eggbound and that comes be fatal if not treated immediately.
