This is a story about a big journey of the small jawharp. The story that could happen only in these days.
Today I took this jawharp from the delivery point in my local grocery store. It came there from St. Petersburg, where it came from Georgia, where it came... from the USA, where it was made by Shaun Jones, a friend of Mark Growden with whom we are making 11 hours Duo musical project now. Mark asked Shaun to make this jawharp for me as a gift, but as soon as it was finished, we realized there is no post connection between the USA and Russia anymore. But for our luck the connection is between the USA and Georgia, where now Vitaly Obukhov lives. So the jawharp went first to Tbilisi, then to St.Petersburg with Vitaly's friends, and then it appeared in a delivery box near my home.
The instrument is absolutely amazing!
What is this story about?
It's about the simple true that in every bad times there are good people who can help each other.
To thank all of them - Shaun who made it, Mark whos idea it was, Vitaly and his friend who helped delivering - I'm playing Krakowyak, really international tune, I believe.
