Stefano Virgilli from VOXLAB explains how you can easily maintain the audio pitch of a video clip after changing the speed in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.
Use the razor to cut the clip. Right click on the clip and then Speed / Duration. Choose Maintain Audio Pitch. Now use the Rate Stretch tool to extend or shorten the duration. The audio pitch will not distort.
