A year ago my friend was killed. This song wasn’t made to make anyone sad or angry about what happened, but was written as a reflection of Sam's positive impact on my life. I wrote this song right after I found out. Its hard to lose someone who helped me get through so much in life but I didn't want to keep feeling that emptiness. If it wasn't for him I don't know where I would be. Music has always been how I've coped with things and to anyone who's feeling this kind of pain I hope you hear this. There’s too much hate on this planet.
If you’ve ever lost someone close to you and are struggling to keep fighting, just know it gets better. This is for you.
