Hit and Miss - Restoring a McCormick Deering 6 HP Type 'M' Engine - Part 3
This throttle governed-- not hit and miss --was built in 1923 by International Harvester and restoring this 6 HP (horsepower) McCormick-Deering was a great deal of fun! I'm in the process of completely tearing the engine down and totally rebuilding it. This is my first old engine restoration project so come on along!
In this episode we get all the parts cleaned, painted and ready for final assembly. Outlaw Jack finishes his work on the head, piston and crankshaft and a we get the fuel tank refurbished! All about magnetos and magnets!
