Welcome to the 48th Livestream Multiplayer test for Rank: Warmaster. The original stream was on Twitch ( http://www.twitch.com/rankwarmaster ) but I recorded the video in 4k60 for Youtube. The recording is rather laggy while the playing was at full frame rate, so we are trying to fix it for the next livestream. Sorry about that. We finally have PBR (Physical Based Rendering) with emissive (glow) in the game engine. As you may know, Rank: Warmaster uses it's own custom engine. Unfortunately, this does mean reinventing the wheel as far as implementation goes for what is considered standard on other engines. The PBR support is able to be done in 2 textures versus 3, even with the emissive aspect, to save space. What this means is we are able to have metal looking surfaces, as well as glowing surfaces. Also, the retexturing allows for dynamically colored skin (Color keying), so that buildings and ships now fly the colors of their corporation, rather than being a fixed skin like in the past. While most of the meshes still need to be retextured to support this, that process is obviously started. The last of the bigger updates is being able to reload during a tutorial. This is important for testing, but honestly, allows for other scenarios in the main game to be reloaded correctly within the same game sessions. A very big quality of life addition. It might be considered small, but when you don't have it, it's big. ;)

Over the next few months we plan to add a lot more polish to the game, and of course more features. Any feedback is helpful! Thanks!
