My crash into a moguled pile of powder on Ptarmigan at Copper Mountain
So my left ski buried itself in a mogul and got completely caught, that tripped me forward and both skis released. Thank goodness they did because I rolled about three times. It's really neat that I had seven people attending me within 30 seconds of crashing. The community of snow sports people is really pretty amazing. Glad I had the helmet cam, I would never have even known how long this took or what exactly happened. I'll post the whole thing after returning home. It's about 15 minutes of me being there with ski patrol from the moment of the crash. I remember the doctor in the green jacket but not what I said to him or what he said to me. I was pretty fuzzy for that first 8 minutes. I refused the sled and felt able to do the rest of the run which I completed with ski patrol shadowing me. Didn't have any problems the rest of the day either. The rear of my helmet is now cracked. It did exactly what it was supposed to do.
