Rucking has always been the ultimate standard of military fitness, from today’s Navy SEALs back to the ancient Spartans, so here are the rucking standards of some of the world’s greatest armies for you to check out.
These challenges are intended for you to attempt, so find the one that’s right for you and have at it.
And be sure to check out the Rucking God-level challenge at the very end.
1. British Infantry Challenge
Ruck 8 miles with 55 pounds.
2. Roman Legion Challenge
Ruck 20 Miles with 45 pound in under seven hours.
3. Zulu Forced March Challenge
Run/Walk: 31 miles in one day
Bonus: The Ruck God Challenge:
Replicate the match of Napoleon’s army before his greatest victory at the Battle of Austerlittz by Rucking 68 miles with 20 pounds in 48 hours.
If all of these challenges seem too difficult, you need the Appalachia program in your life.
It is currently in use by a number of the world’s most elite militaries to build engine power and work capacity in their operators.
It is built with the same techniques I used to break the weighted run world record by running 33 hours nonstop wearing a 35 pound pack.
