Emergency Call | ILS to Minimum | IFR with ATC | Cessna 182
On a routine IFR flight plan from work to home, two different emergency situations, IMC, and the ILS minimums call out are all what make flying so fun and exciting. The first emergency call I heard was a 'minimum fuel' situation. It was just a mis-understanding by the controller, and I edited it out. The second was an unknown situation in which the ATC controllers asked for help in having a contact with an emergency plane. It's not unheard of for ATC to ask me to relay a message or something to another plane, but this was my first 'emergency assistance' call. It never hurts to have a SAFE reminder that when you're in the air, anything could happen at any time and we need to stay prepared!
