In this video, we finally get to see The STRUM Method in action! We'll be bringing together all five of the principles we've been discussing in previous videos and applying them to a song that our audience has chosen.
Using the five pillars of the STRUM Method, we'll show you how to approach learning a new song, from seeing fretboard patterns to understanding rhythm and strumming. We'll break down the song into its individual components and show you how to put them together, using the skills you've learned from the STRUM Method.
As we work through the song, we'll be incorporating all five of the principles of the STRUM Method. We'll be seeing fretboard patterns as we move between chords, transitioning smoothly between each chord. We'll be reading the chord chart and using basic music theory to understand the structure of the song. We'll also be applying our knowledge of rhythm and strumming to play the song in time and with feeling. Finally, we'll be using our ear training skills to identify different parts of the song and make adjustments as needed.
By the end of this video, you'll have a better understanding of how to apply The STRUM Method to learning a new song. You'll be able to take these principles and apply them to any song you want to learn, giving you the confidence and skills you need to play anything, any time, anywhere.
