Bonn Minster, known in German as Bonner Münster, is a Catholic church located in Bonn and ranks among Germany's oldest, with construction spanning from the 11th to the 13th centuries. Historically, it served as the de facto cathedral for the Archbishopric of Cologne, as it was the principal church in the Archbishop-Elector's residence. Today, it is a minor basilica and inspired the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin, as Kaiser Wilhelm II had studied in Bonn.
The basilica stands on the burial site of Saints Cassius and Florentius, who are venerated as the patron saints of Bonn.
The basilica features square towers adorned with Lombard bands, a hallmark of Romanesque architecture, and it also incorporates some Gothic elements. It's believed that the church has the most beautiful stone spire in Germany.
