Peak Rail Driver Experience Course / Footplate Experience
I was introduced to Driver and Fireman and I was shown what to do (even though I already knew). The course was 1 return trip to and from Matlock Riverside including a tour inside the Signal Box at Matlock Riverside.
The experience took about 2 hours to complete and unlike similar experiences presented by other heritage railways, it was 1 to 1 meaning that I was the only participant on the footplate.
I highly recommend this course as well as the railway itself!
PR also offer a Diesel Course which is new for 2024 and also a bit more expensive then the Steam Course
