You will need the following items:
Scissors (502-135)
Construction Paper (assorted colours) (500-300AST)
white glue or glue stick (502-250 or 502-370)
Instructions:
1. Choose your construction paper colour of choice to be the colour of your pumpkin. Cut even sized strips. You can choose to cut length wise on your paper, giving you a taller pumpkin, or cut width wise to get a shorter pumpkin.
2. Start with laying one strip down horizontally. Put a dab of glue on the center of a second strip, and lay it vertically across your first strip, making a cross shape. Add a dab of glue to the third piece of paper, and lay it diagonally across the second strip. Continue this until you create a asterisk shape with your strips of paper. The more strips you put, the more full the pumpkin will be.
3. To attach all the top pieces together, start with one end of a strip, and grab the opposite end, and glue them together, creating a loop. Take opposite ends of another strip, and then attach them to the first loop you created. All the strips of paper should meet at the top to create a round pumpkin.
4. Grab a second colour of construction paper to make the pumpkin stem.
5. Cut off a small rectangle (size is based on your preference).
6. Fold about 1cm of the rectangle piece of paper, to make a flap that will stick to the top of your pumpkin.
7. Apply some glue to the flap, and stick it to the top center of your pumpkin.
8. Allow to dry.
