scx10 investigating electrical problems
I've had some electrical problems with my scx10 lately, problems evident in the operation of the motor. I run a 3s lipo with a 30c rating, novak eiger pro esc with 3s bec and a torquemaster 35 turn motor. the motor will heat up very fast at the brushes (red hot), so I disassembled the motor to investigate for problems. I haven't found any obvious issues in the motor so I believe the problem is with the esc or bec. I have decided to order a new esc compatible to a 3s lipo and eliminate the need for a bec, a decision I made easily since I do not care for the novak esc I currently run.
