Difference Between CALENDAR and CALENDARAUTO Dax Functions in Power BI
Calendar function creates a calendar table with specified start and end dates, while Calendar Auto function automatically adjusts to the data range and updates when new data is added. Calendar function in Power BI creates a table of dates with specified start and end dates, while Calendar Auto scans the model and generates dates based on min/max dates.
Calendar Auto function in PowerBI automatically generates a date table based on the dates in the model, but can lead to circular dependency errors.
1) CALENDAR: Returns a table with one column of all dates between StartDate and EndDate.
2) CALENDARAUTO: Returns a table with one column of dates calculated from data model.
