Lighter nanocomposites
This is vacuum impregnation of a composite “pie”. It consists of 16-layer carbon fiber and resin with nanotubes as a “cream”. These composites are destined for future transportation application – in cars, aeroplanes and spaceships – by reducing weight and boosting strength several-fold.
