Ever been prospecting/listbuilding on Sales Navigator and Zoominfo and see duplicate accounts/outdated info?? There's a good reason for it.
Don't get me wrong, I love Zoominfo. I just think the company dynamic is hilarious - it's basically the yellow pages of 2020, only you have to pay an arm and a leg for it!
Interested in becoming an Account Executive/AE or Sales Development Representative/SDR at Zoominfo?
It makes sense, it's easier to sell against the competition when folks already know about you. That said, it's not always easier to sell.
If you want to work at a startup and cash out on equity long term or be a big fish in a small pond, hiring managers there will often discriminate against a Zoominfo sales rep for not having the mind to find creative ways to "sell against the competition" as that's normally what you'll be doing.
At the end of the day, tech sales is where it's at, and it's best to get in where you fit in! Just know it's not all sunshine and daisies under the big blue cloud!
Plus, the Contact search market is incredibly overcrowded...
