Windelov's fern (Microsorum pteropus "Windelov") is a breeding form of the well–known Thai fern, the distinctive feature of which is the strong branching of the upper part of the leaves. For this characteristic feature, the plant is often called the "Deer Horn" fern. This variety was obtained by specialists of Tropica (Denmark) and named after its founder – Holger Vindelov. In 1994, the fern went on sale and has since remained one of the most popular aquarium plants. This is due not only to the attractive appearance, but also to the simplicity of the maintenance of this plant. It is equally appreciated by both novice aquarists and experienced ones.
