Japanese True Crime 2: Hostage Situations
*Reenactments from news programs and scenes from movies are used, but when possible I included actual news footage of the situations.
The Hiroshima ferry incident in 1970 and the Osaka Bank incident in 1979; two infamous cases of hostage incidents that play out totally different, but end the same way: police killing the perpetrator.
In a post-war Japan, police killings were nearly non-existent, and after these two cases you could count the number times of it happening on one hand.
