What is our hope as Christians? Our hope is the Gospel message, which is that Jesus Christ redeemed us from sin!
Here is something to think about...
In one year, 365 days:
Around 2.5 million people in the United States die and around 56 million people in the entire world die. That in itself is troubling and sad.
Let me rephrase it it a way that gives it more perspective and more seriousness.
In one year, 365 days:
Around 2.5 million people in the United States die and around 56 million people in the entire world die and most will go to an eternity IN HELL WITHOUT CHRIST AND WITHOUT HOPE.
People need to know they are dead in their sin.
People need to know their need for a Savior.
People need to know the punishment for their sin is Hell, because God is a just and holy God.
People need to know that God moved in love and in grace for mankind by sending his Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in order that atonement and reconciliation could be possible.
People need to know that in three days, Jesus rose from the dead.
People need to know that the only way to heaven is Jesus Christ, because he is the way and the truth and the life.
People need to hear the Gospel message.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20
