Hi Hat Tutorial
Basic Hi Hat Technique.
Down up motion. Down beat play with shaft of stick, up beat play with tip of the stick.
I play the hi hat with my wrist most of the time, it allows me to play quicker and more dynamics.
Open hi hat technique - to achieve the airy effect sound, open the hi hat as soon as the tip hits the hi hat.
I also play a few different groove so you would know how the hi hat sounds in different style of music.
