The Red White and Blue Ball is an intimate music and camping event taking place on Saturday, June 30 at The Ball Farm, a beautiful outdoor venue located 25 miles southeast of downtown Austin.
In addition to outstanding live music this family-friendly event will offer free camping in a shaded campground, tasty offerings from local food trucks, a giant water slide, a late-night fireworks show, and more.
Some of Austin's most exciting new talent will take the main stage at sunset. The Wheeler Brothers, winner of the Best New Band at the 2012 Austin Music Awards, will headline an evening that includes the outlaw country band Crooks, the feverish finger picking of Shakey Graves, the foot-stomping folk band Hello Wheels, and the genre-blurring San Marcos quintet Those Nights. There will also be a late night stage for campers featuring Henry + The Invisibles and Jimmie Dreams.
In addition, there will be inspiring opportunities for attendees to get creative with two cutting edge artistic projects. Play in the The Edge of Imagination Station's innovative stop motion animation lab or create your own light paintings with The Illuminariums.
The picturesque Ball Farm stretches across 62 acres and has been host to numerous events, including two years of the Oxblood Masquerade and Future Fest '11. It was also the setting for the award-winning short film Eulogy Maker.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Groundwork Music Project, whose mission is to provide free and low cost music lessons to preschoolers with limited means.
