Once the rust has been applied and finished you can seal it all in with our dead Matt 2k clear coat or for a more traditional finish you can finish with Renaissance wax and buff to a gentle sheen, or alternatively if the item you are coating is for exterior use you can leave the rust unsealed and this will give it an even deeper rust effect.
The 2k dead Matt clear coat is a great way of protecting the rust as well as making it washable.
