US To Offer Ukraine Security Pact
The US will offer Ukraine a security pact. President Biden has also given Ukraine permission to strike inside Russia with U.S. weapons but only around Kharkiv. This comes as relations between the two are at an all time low - this in part due to Congress withholding aid, Trump’s erroneous threats, and Biden not attending the upcoming peace summit in Switzerland. Zelensky says that Biden’s absence at the peace summit will be welcomed by a standing ovation from Putin. But US officials say that Ukraine scheduled the summit knowing that Biden wouldn’t be able to attend. The US has also complained that Ukraine keeps striking inside of Russia and hitting oil facilities, a position they are now publicly softening on.
