Two fresh takes on indoor cycling training
I just got a Garmin Edge 820 to use with my Elite Direto XR. Hoping it'll give me better data and help me control the rollers better, especially in ERG mode. Think it's more of a setup issue with the rollers, since my Forerunner 955 struggles with ERG too. BuI've decided to purchase a Garmin Edge 820 to mount on my bike, which I use on the Elite Direto XR rollers. I hope this will allow me to better read the data and perhaps manage the rollers more efficiently, especially in ERG mode, although I believe the problem lies in the rollers' configuration. In fact, my Garmin Forerunner 955 doesn't handle this mode very well, but, as I said, I think it's a misconfiguration that I've now figured out how to change... I'll keep you updated. I've also bought some SPD-cleat pedals on Amazon because the bike currently on the rollers (a Cannondale gravel) has Crankbrothers Eggbeaters, and I didn't want to use my MTB or gravel shoes while pedaling indoors. So I got these pedals... we'll see how they go."t I think I've figured it out. Also picked up some SPD pedals on Amazon because I didn't want to wear my MTB shoes on my indoor bike.
